CAD Drafting Design Associates

Barden Building Systems, a distinguished 98-year old private company with 50 years experience designing/supplying custom panelized Residential, Commercial, and Church buildings, is seeking qualified CAD professionals to join our Residential Design Team in our Tully, NY office.

Barden is a leader in the Panelized Home Industry, custom designing custom residences from sketches, photos or full architectural plans. Be a key player in an environment in which every day you take ideas and move them towards reality! Once custom designs are finalized, pre-cut materials, open-framed wall panels, and structural truss members are shipped to building sites throughout the northeast and Ontario to become site-built homes of distinction.

Responsibilities:
The Drafting Designer is responsible for revising or interpreting submitted sketches or plans into customized home plans complete with structural details and sections to fully represent the desired model. Each Drafting Designer utilizes our CAD software to create a full color life-like rendering once the plan has been taken to the structural phase. Step into life as a 3-D designer utilizing 3-D walls, beams, posts and fixtures to reflect the project fully in three dimensional detail. All work is completed at our new facility in Beautiful Tully New York, just between Cortland and Syracuse in a pristine valley setting.

Requirements:
Candidates must be highly motivated, organized, self-starters with excellent communication skills and specific scholastic or work experience in computer aided drafting supported by personal work at time of interview. Applicant must also have a minimum of a 2 to 4 year degree in construction technology, design, or related field. Proficiency with Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and web based tools a must, along with time management and strong written and verbal and communication skills.
